Need help to lodge online?
QBCC have prepared this brief How to lodge video specifically for Self-certifying 1 (SC1) and Self-certifying 2 (SC2) licensees.
If you’d prefer written instructions, the handy Annual financial reporting myQBCC user guide takes you through the process step-by-step.
It’s a legal requirement
Annual financial reporting is part of minimum financial requirements (MFR) legislation which acts like a health check for your business. When you and others in the industry operate financially sound businesses, everyone gets paid for their work.
As a SC1 or SC2 contractor licensee, you are required to lodge your annual financial reporting by 31 March 2021 (unless the QBCC has notified you in writing of a changed annual reporting day prior to 31 March). You are entitled to apply to change your annual reporting day by writing to: annualreporting@qbcc.qld.gov.au.
Additional information on each category’s financial requirements can be located here.
If someone lodges on your behalf
If you would like your spouse, an employee, accountant or bookkeeper to lodge financial information online through myQBCC on behalf of your business, you need to firstly authorise them as your nominated representative. But please remember, if you authorise a representative to lodge on your behalf, you are still responsible for the information submitted.
You spoke, they listened
QBCC have upgraded their online lodgement system and you will receive a copy of the information lodged and an electronic receipt when you lodge online.
We urge you to lodge soon to avoid the last-minute rush and ensure you leave time to ask questions if you need to.
Just a reminder, if you would like DGL Accountants to submit this information on your behalf, you will need to ensure we have been added as a representative and assigned the appropriate permissions in myQBCC.
